Historic Resilience Training Modules
Module 1: General Information
This learning module provides an overview and background of Historic Preservation, Resilience & Vulnerability, and Equity. It will address who could best utilize this information and how to use our different resources. You will gain insight, tools, and strategies in these key areas to enhance your understanding of sustainable development and historic resilience.

Module 2: Where do you live? – Mountains
This learning module will focus on the Mountain regions of North Carolina and talk specifically on how Historic Resilience applies to your community. Including geophysical description, hazards and placing that all in an urban, suburban, and rural context. This module will include a case study of River Arts in the Biltmore Village community and provide recommended action specific to this region.

Module 3: Where do you live? – Piedmont
This learning module will focus on the Piedmont region of North Carolina and talk specifically on how Historic Resilience applies to your community. Including geophysical description, hazards and placing that all in an urban, suburban, and rural context. This module will include a case study of Revolution Mills in the Greensboro community and provide recommended action specific to this region.

Module 4: Where do you live? – Coastal Plain
This learning module will focus on the Coastal Plain region of North Carolina and talk specifically on how Historic Resilience applies to your community. Including geophysical description, hazards and placing that all in an urban, suburban, and rural context. This module will include a case study of the Ocracoke community and provide recommended action specific to this region.

Module 5: How to make this work?
This module will walk you through Implementation and conclusions for how to make Historic Resilience work in your community. It includes topics on Fiscal, Technical, Administrative, and Political Capacity. The types of resources available for Governance, Policy Development, Use of Funding, and Technical Assistance. The module will also address methods of use.
